1. Sharing of accounts: I agree that my account is not transferable and I will not share my account (credentials) with anyone (including students, staff and collaborators). Defaulters will be given penalties such as suspension of their account, or other penalties as decided by the HPC Committee.
2. Data security: I agree that I will not store personal data on the facility. I am aware that data in the common/shared locations (e.g., /tmp) that has not been used/accessed for a month will be deleted. Making a backup of my programs and data is my responsibility. HPC Committee will not be liable or responsible for any data loss due to any hardware or software failure.
3. Responsible Usage: I agree that I will use this system responsibly, with the understanding that it is a shared facility. Repeated irresponsible usage may result in penalties as decided by the HPC committee.
4. Acknowledgement: I agree to include an acknowledgement in my publications and other research outputs arising out of the usage of HPC facility. (e.g., by including a sentence like “We acknowledge the use of the computing resources at ACE Facility, Aerospace Engg. Dept., IIT Bombay.”
5. This HPC facility can be used for research and development only. Using the facility for any other activity requires prior approval.
6. I will not use any pirated / unauthorised software or tool. I understand that if I or members of my group install any software or tool that is not provided by the HPC facility, all the licensing issues thereof (including violation, if any) will solely be my responsibility. I understand that Aerospace Engg. Dept. or IIT Bombay will not be responsible for any such dispute arising out of license infringement issues.
7. I understand that proprietary applications/Software are governed by certain licensing agreements. I agree to use applications under their end user agreements with IIT Bombay. I understand that HPC Committee will not be responsible for any such violations of a license agreement.
